Opportunity to Inform Future Research

We are conducting focus groups with families impacted by dementia to learn what is important in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias research.

These focus groups will be conducted to support research at the newly designated South Texas Alzheimer’s Center, funded by the National Institute of Aging as well as the Caring for the Caregiver Program. It is important that those most affected by the research are included to inform researchers about what research matters to them, what would support their participation, and what are barriers to participation in research. Focus groups will last approximately one hour and participants will receive a stipend for their participation. If you are interested in learning more about the focus groups and what your participation would involve, please contact the Caring for the Caregiver program by email (utcaregivers@uthealthsa.org) or by telephone at 210-450-8862. Your voice in informing the direction of research is so important and we hope you will contact us for more information.
