Event Details:

Join UT Health San Antonio Caring for the Caregiver to learn about how to become more confident when providing complex care tasks for your family member living with dementia. Family members to persons living with dementia oftentimes find themselves managing medications, monitoring pain, managing incontinence, assisting mobility challenges, and more with little guidance on how to provide these types of care tasks. Learning Skills Together was developed by healthcare faculty to help family caregivers to persons living with dementia learn how to conduct worry-free complex care.

The Learning Skills Together series will take place from Tuesday, October 5th to Tuesday, November 2nd from 3 pm to 4:30 pm at San Antonio Oasis. The first and final sessions will be held in-person, while sessions 2, 3, and 4 will take place over Zoom. Participants will be asked to review video lectures lasting approximately 30 minutes before each synchronous (live) session. During live sessions, we will discuss learning content as a group.  We ask that participants be able to commit to at least 4 of the 5 sessions.
