Event Details:

Join UT Health San Antonio Caring for the Caregiver to learn about how to become more confident when providing complex care tasks for your family member living with dementia.

Family members of persons living with dementia oftentimes find themselves managing medications, monitoring pain, managing incontinence, assisting mobility challenges, and more with little guidance on how to provide these types of care tasks. Learning Skills Together was developed by healthcare faculty to help family caregivers of persons living with dementia learn how to conduct worry-free complex care.

Learning Skills Together is a 6-week workshop meeting on Wednesdays from 10 pm to 11:30 pm presented online through a virtual Zoom platform. Participants will be asked to review video lectures lasting approximately 30 minutes before each session and during live sessions, we will discuss learning content as a group. To get the most out of the workshop we ask that participants be able to commit to at least 5 of the 6 sessions.

To help you better prepare for the session check your calendars and plan ahead with appointment dates so that you can make sure you are available to attend.

Event presented by UT Health Caring for the Caregiver and funding supported by AACOG.
