Need a hug

We all need a hug sometimes but the recent pandemic has made it difficult to give and receive hugs from friends, family, and even the occasional stranger.

However, studies show that a hug can help ease stress and even possibly boost your immune system.  A study conducted at Carnegie Mellon examined how stress and social support impact immunity and susceptibility to infectious disease.  The study found that those who felt socially supported and were hugged more often also experienced less-severe signs of illness.

While hugging may be difficult or even impossible for you at this time, as an alternative, you can watch this sweet video and feel the love until you are able to hug your own loved ones.
