Community Partner Spotlight – Biggs Institute

Now everyone can be a part of finding a cure.

The Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases brought the region’s first brain bank to learn more about aging from healthy volunteers and those diagnosed with dementia. Now the institute is expanding their understanding of dementia to include blood, online cognitive quizzes and other medical insight from people of all health backgrounds.

Collecting this information is invaluable to dementia research as it can help complete numerous research studies. In addition, when this information is studied together it will also help researchers form the complete story of someone impacted by dementia, and the more times this is done, the better researchers will be able to understand this disease.
