Training family caregivers to provide complex care – In case you missed it
Recently an article about the Caring for the Caregiver Learning Skills Together Workshop was published in the Journal of Interprofessional Education and Practice.
The Learning Skills Together Workshop is an interprofessional skills workshop to teach family caregivers of people living with dementia to provide complex care. This article was made possible because of the generous feedback provided by caregivers. The feedback provided by those who participated helped us to be able to evaluate the program allowing us to better understand what worked and did not work. The results of the study suggest and emphasize the importance and the benefits of an interprofessional team approach to support family caregivers and build confidence with complex care.
