Alzheimer’s and Brain Health Awareness Month

Help us celebrate Alzheimer’s and Brain Health Awareness month by making a tax-deductible donation to the Caring for the Caregiver.

Caring for the Caregiver is dedicated to serving caregivers of persons living with dementia and those they care for through education, social engagement, resources, and resources.  June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, which is a month dedicated to increasing awareness and education surrounding issues and support of cognitive health.  The Alzheimer’s Association shares that over 55 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.

This is our month to take action!  How can you take action?  Listed below are some steps you can take to improve your cognitive health and bring awareness to your family, friends, and community.

Learn, Research, and Discover

  • Learn about the basics of Alzheimer’s and dementia.  Including the signs and symptoms, brain changes, and genetics.
  • Support those you know who might have dementia.  Look for tips on care, support, and planning for the future and share them with them.
  • Share your personal caregiving story on our Facebook and Instagram pages.  Use @utcaregivers to find us.
  • Discover ways you can help promote and advance research including participating in clinical trials and research on brain donation.
